Eda

Eda was a challenging, fun and informative journey. I learned a lot about the effects banking can have on the planet. It was really interesting to learn what issues young people have with banking and what current banking options lack for the 16-24 age group.

The entire process was extremely thorough and at times difficult to navigate. With so much information to seek out and so much to design, I found it hard to figure out where to start. But, with time, I saw my brand develop into the exact product I wanted it to be. From the design to the ethos, I was really proud when I looked at my completed landing page and research and saw everything come together.

If I were to continue to develop Eda, I would probably tweak a few of the design elements. But with the custom banners I made for my landing page and the images and illustrations I made for the entire project, I felt that I really poured my best work into Eda and I hope it reflects in the final product.

Personal Brand

My personal Brand was much more challenging than I thought it would be. I think everyone agrees that talking about yourself is one of the most difficult things to do and introspection isn’t something you can Google. I had a long hard think about the things I value and the aesthetics I like to work with and I think I did a good job of reflecting my personality in my brand.

I’m looking forward for the opportunity to develop my personal brand further in 2nd year and I plan to look at it again over the summer to see if I can develop it more as my personal style develops. I think this task was a really good lesson in the importance of introspection and it showed me that personal branding is as important as branding for a product or business.

I also look forward to seeing how aspects of my personal brand change over the years as my values and style develop. My goal for the end of second year is to have a recognisable, professional and most importantly relevant brand for myself that will see me into the beginning of my career as a designer.
