About Sara Soueidan

Sara has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences, and has been doing her work since 2013, when she started her freelance career.

Today, she’s the author of the Codrops CSS Reference and co-author of a book that covers time-saving, practical techniques for crafting fast, maintainable and scalable responsive websites.

She works with companies and agencies around the world, building Web user interfaces, design systems, and digital products with focus on responsive design, accessibility, performance, and cutting-edge tech. She has worked with teams at companies like SuperFriendly, Herman Miller, Khan Academy, Bosch, and more.

She also speaks and runs workshops across the globe, covering practical insights and tried and true practices for building scalable, resilient front-end foundations. In the last few years, she has presented and delivered Keynotes at dozens of events worldwide, and has led workshops for companies like Netflix, Telus, and the Royal Schiphol Group at Amsterdam Airport.

In 2015, she was voted Developer of the Year in the net awards, and shortlisted for the Outstanding Contribution of the Year award. I also won an O’Reilly Web Platform Award for

Above is the case study for work Soueidan did with Khan Academy wherein she worked with a team of Khan Academy’s engineers to create a universally accessible learning platform which included usability for disabled users using assistive technologies.
