I mainly chose Palatino because it includes the unusual character interrobang (a non-standard punctuation mark (‽) indicating a question expressed in an exclamatory manner, as in 'what are you doing‽')
I felt I could use the interrobang as a key part of my design when doing the Palatino typeface, so am using this image as the basis to build my design on.
The first idea has the interrobang as the centrepiece of the type screen. The creator's name is displayed beside it with a brief description of the typeface and it's creator/history etc. The alphabet is in the background in the Palatino font, lighter than the main text and interrobang to not distract from the main content.
I think this idea is simple but effective and I feel that having the interrobang as the centre of the poster could be interesting as it isn't a character we typically see in day-today life. The design leaves a lot of room to have fun with colour schemes and I think it could work as an eye-catching type screen.
